Hullbridge Social Club, private party

It’s always a pleasure for us to help celebrate the milestones in people’s lives, and this time the party was for Debbie and Len’s 20th wedding anniversary. We always promise to learn a new song for the evening; something particularly important to the people concerned. Tonight, it was two songs, (they were very nice people!): ‘Thank-you For Loving Me’, by Bon Jovi, and ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. Guests feasted and later danced against a backdrop of photos of Debbie and Len charting their life together. The smaller folk were the first on the dance floor, but before long, they were joined by the adults. This meant we also had a lot of people willing to show off their dance moves in ‘New York, New York’. We wish Debbie and Len the best for the next 20 years, and who knows, we may still be around for another celebration!
