Trimley St. Mary’s Arts Centre, Suffolk. Amnesty International fundraiser
Tonight we returned to a fascinating venue - a beautiful old church transformed into a thriving arts centre - to help raise money for Amnesty International.
The building has kept its original layout, including its stained glass windows and historic atmosphere, but it has also been transformed into a hub for local entertainment.
Tonight it provided a platform for songs ranging from Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida' to George Formby's 'When I'm Cleaning Windows'. For our encore we exchanged 'New York, New York' for 'Fly Me To The Moon' but still included the dancing audience and enthusiastic singing. We had a great time, thanks to the helpfulness of all involved, and hope to return one day.
